Rotary International District 5340 hosted an incredible event last weekend! On Saturday, March 9th, the 2024 Youth Instrumental Music Competition for the South Region took place at the Coronado Public Library. The competition aimed to identify and recognize the student contestant demonstrating the highest level of excellence in talent, training, and passion for music. Prize money was awarded at every level of the competition, with hopes of supporting today's young musicians in their dreams for tomorrow.
The South Regional finalists were Asher Bende (French Horn), Mirren Fallon (Violin), Ava Patri (Tuba), and Enrique Wilcox (Vibes). Congratulations to all of them! We also want to congratulate Ethan Fairclough (Double Bass) and Caden Jiang (Violin) for advancing to the final round.
