On Wednesday, February 14th, the Rotary Club of La Mesa Foundation presented a $7,000 grant to the Camp Julian Oaks Camp. The check will be used for assisting the operations of the camp. Camp Julian Oaks serves as an outreach for children and teens who have been abused and neglected. These children have been removed from their homes and are desperately in need of love and hope. They are invited to camp for a week each summer, a weekend in the winter, and attend other gatherings throughout the year.
Rotary Club of La Mesa President Becki Schwartz and Rotary Club of La Mesa Foundation Chair presented the check to Tina Massa. Tina and her husband Nick founded the camp in 2009.
