DGE Michael Brunker woke up one morning to find an email from Past District 5320 Governor, Ray Sanford had sent him a video with his name credited for its concept.
What started out as a guest column written by Michael in last week's Newsbits, turned into an opportunity to spread to a wider audience and like Michael does, he shared his column on social media to spread the wisdom.
One of his key messages was that leadership is not measured by the size of the title we hold, but by the depth of the people we lift. He reminded us that success is not simply what happens while we are in the room, but rather that success is what continues after we leave. Michaels' column was extremely well received district-wide, but it had a further reach. It went beyond our district and found its way to PDG Sandford of District 5320. He was so inspired by Michael's words that he created a video that demonstrates what servant leadership looks like in action. It was professionally done, remarkably inspirational and showcases how leadership is transferrable in a seamless fashion, sharing in the dream and creating last impact in relay fashion.
