Max Gurney, a highly decorated WWII veteran and long-standing member of the Torrey Pines Rotary Club, was present in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion, accompanied by Tim McCulley, president of the Point Loma Rotary Club. Following their visit to Normandy, Max and Tim went to Monaco to celebrate Max's 103rd birthday with Prince Albert, in honor of Max's role as the Honorary Consul for Monaco in San Diego. Max was interviewed by CBS 8 regarding his experiences.
