It’s not just The Rotary Foundation it’s OUR Rotary Foundation.  The sole purpose of the Rotary Foundation is to support the service projects and programs of Rotarians like.  Without your service, your passion, and your desire to make a positive impact in our world, there would be no reason for us to have a foundation.  What is your Rotary or Rotaract Club doing in November 2026 to celebrate and highlight the Rotary Foundation.

FOUNDATION IMPACT CELEBRATION

Great Rotary projects begin with an idea. The Rotary Foundation helps turn those ideas into action.

At District 5340’s Foundation Impact Celebration, you’ll see that transformation firsthand. Clubs from across our District will showcase service projects made possible through District Matching Grants and Global Grants, projects that are creating meaningful change in our local communities and around the world.

And perhaps your club’s next project could be among them.

Keynote speaker and Foundation grant expert Shirley Grace has helped implement more than 56 District and Global Grants. She’ll share her experience and dynamic approach to making Foundation grants work for your club, giving you valuable insights to help transform your own vision for service into lasting impact.

The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As the charitable arm of Rotary International, we tap into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Foundation grants empower Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact.
Strong financial oversight, a stellar charity rating, and a unique funding model mean that we make the most of your contribution. Give and become a part of Rotary’s life-changing work!

The collective leadership and expertise of our 1.2 million members helps us tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges, locally and globally. We are united by common values and vision for the future as we sharpen our focus with targeted specific causes that will reach communities most in need.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

For more than 100 years, our guiding principles have been the foundation upon which our values and tradition stand. The Four-Way Test, Object of Rotary, and the Avenues of Service express our commitment to service, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership.

AREAS OF FOCUS

We direct our efforts in seven areas to enhance our local and global impact. Our most successful and sustainable projects and activities tend to fall within the following areas: - Promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and supporting the environment.

What impact can one donation have?

$3 is the average cost to fully protect a child against polio.

$50 can maintain water filters to help fight waterborne illness.

$200 to develop work opportunities by replacing livestock for people impacted by disasters.

Access to these vital funds requires donations from its Rotary members.  Those donations are invested in a variety of funds that maximize its potential and then returned to you through District Grants and Global Grants to conduct service projects in your community and/or internationally.
