Welcome to SDUSD Portal
We are incredibly proud of our relationship with San Diego Unified School District, and have created this portal to assist members of the SDUSD community in finding resources.
First established in 1905, Rotary International is a nonprofit organization of more than 1.2 million community, business, and professional leaders worldwide. Rotary is comprised of more than 33,000 clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. Members of these clubs provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace across the world. As signified by Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self,” the organization's main objective is service – in the community, in the workplace, and across the globe.
Within Rotary, individual regions are segmented into districts. Rotary District 5340 represents 3,200 Rotary members, and includes 64 individual clubs in San Diego, Imperial, and Riverside counties. Rotary clubs in District 5340 work with school districts, campuses, faculty, and students throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties.
One of the goals of Rotary International and of the Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 5340 is to help young people develop leadership abilities, appreciate service opportunities, craft ethical decisions, be self-confident, and reach their goals. To accomplish this purpose, Rotary District 5340 and its Rotary Clubs encourage young leaders to excel at life through Rotary youth programs.
We encourage you to learn more about Rotary and the programs that it offers to students and education professionals.
