This past week, the San Diego Rotary Club proudly honored Rotarian Tom Fetter with the 71st Mr. San Diego Award - a fitting tribute to a lifetime of business leadership and extraordinary community service.  At 91 years young, Tom is still actively contributing to San Diego's civic life and inspiring all of us with his energy and humility.

For more than six decades, Tom has led T. Fetter & Co., Inc. while championing institutions that share our region's future.  He has served on or led boards for the San Diego Zoo/Wildlife Alliance (trustee), Fleet Science Center (past president), San Diego History Center (past chair), The Bishop's School, San Diego Yacht Club, and the USD School of Law (Board of Visitors) - where he also chaired a 2008 capital campaign that raised $11+ million.

A proud University of San Diego School of Law ('67 JD) alumnus, Tom has been recognized repeatedly for his civic leadership and philanthropy, including decades of support for Balboa Park organizations and pro bono justice initiatives.

Tom has also been part of the Rotary family since 1983, modeling "Service Above Self" long before today's honor - making this recognition both historic and heartfelt.

We congratulate Tom on receiving this prestigious award.
