The Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club has recently allocated nearly $22,000 to three local nonprofits, thanks to the success of its Annual Golf Ball Drop and Silent Auction in May 2024, as reported in a news release. The recipients this year were Lifeline Community Services, Boys & Girls Club, and Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, each serving vital needs in the community.

Representatives from these organizations were present to receive the donations and acknowledgment for their continuous efforts. Nicole Morquel of Lifeline Community Services outlined how the funds will advance their work against human trafficking and support services. Celina Rosillo from the Boys & Girls Club explained that the funds would sustain their crucial role in nurturing the growth and well-being of local children. Sandra Lehmkuhler of Warrior Foundation Freedom Station stressed the significance of supporting young veterans during their transition to civilian life.
