In 1990, the Rotary Club of Fallbrook felt that Bonsall should have their own Rotary club and, therefore started the process of assembling a group together.

In August 1991, Bonsall Rotary was chartered with 26 members and led by their first President, real estate broker, Coral Weston. The club met for many years at San Luis Rey Downs.

On August 27th, the Rotary Club of Bonsall celebrated their 35th year at a member’s home as they ate, drank, played Rotary trivia and heard current President, Jake Wiley of Rainbow Municipal Water District, share his vision for the current Rotary year.

Over the years, Bonsall Rotary has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars through various fundraisers including decades of their infamous Wine, Brew and Blues Festival . The club has disbursed funds as well as hands on projects to dozens of local non-profits as well as international causes such as house building in Mexico, water well projects in Africa , and cleft palate surgeries in Mexico.

The evening celebration included former Assistant District Governor , Paulette Britton , former member and past President Jeff Johnson as well as charter members Jeff Stillman and Karen Estes. The third and only other remaining charter member, Randy Carlson was unable to attend the celebration.
