The Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary has long supported Solutions for Change, a foundation dedicated to aiding homeless individuals in rebuilding their lives by providing them with an apartment for a year and assistance to regain stability.
Solutions for Change is a nonprofit organization devoted to eradicating family homelessness through the Solutions University program. This program is a 1,000-day partnership that furnishes families with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to achieve remarkable life changes. It offers more than just housing; it's a comprehensive life transformation solution.
The organization's goal is to foster resilient, self-sufficient families who can chase every aspiration they have, from nurturing a joyful family and forging a prosperous career to owning a home and ensuring their children's education. Each adult participant engages in a tailored program designed to achieve their individual goals.
This year, we had the joy of organizing a surprise Christmas for a homeless mother and her three-year-old daughter. Our members filled their apartment with gifts and festive decorations while they were away, setting the stage for a heartwarming surprise upon their return. It was an immensely gratifying experience for our members to contribute to this cause and to make the holiday special for the young girl.
