Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary presents its first Scholarship Raffle to fund the scholarship pool for high school seniors who reside in Carlsbad. This year, funds will support scholarships for college, trade and technical schools.
Do to Covid restrictions, fundraising events are off the table. Taking a creative posture, Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary club elected to hold a raffle to help support their scholarship efforts. The goal is to sell 2500 tickets between now and March 30, 2022. Cost of tickets are $20 for one and $100 for six tickets. Due to regulations, purchase of tickets online is prohibited. Tickets can be purchased through Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotarians or through mail: Carlsbad Hi-Noon Rotary Club Foundation, PO Box 130175, Carlsbad 92013. Your tickets will be sent to you. The drawing will occur on April 4 at the club's regular meeting.
Prizes are:
- First prize = $5,000
- Second prize = 1 week at a condo on the San Diego/PB beach for six people
- Third prize = an exclusive wine basket (value over $1,000)
- Fourth prize = a surprise!
