The La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club (LJGTRC) will perform their eighth San Diego Police Department (SDPD) community service project on the weekends of March 19th and 26th remodeling a large portion of the Department’s Northeastern Division which provides protection to the San Diego communities of Miramar, Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Penasquitos, Carmel Mountain, Sabre Springs, 4S Ranch, and Rancho Bernardo.  
 
The LJGT Rotary Club has teamed up with Copley Foundation, The Rock Church, San Diego Police Foundation, City of San Diego, Workplace Services, Dave’s Quality Painting, Duncan Custom Homes, Brady IFS, Geary Flooring, Aztec Landscaping, California Coast Credit Union along with other individuals.  The LJGT Rotary’s past projects included the SDPD Northern, Western, Family Justice Center, 911 Call Center, Able Helicopter Base, Traffic, and Tactical Training Divisions, and approach a million dollars of value to the City of San Diego all totaled. 
 
Projects include:  
  • Replace kitchen cabinets, refrigerators and flooring
  • Installing several new large screen TVs, 
  • Installing BBQ and awning
  • Painting, pressure washing, general cleaning
  • Landscaping and other handyman work to help building esthetics
  • Improve morale of the officers serving at this station.
The Club will have help from several retired SDPD officers as well former City of La Mesa Police Chief Walt Vasquez, former Asst. Chief Dan Christman and former Lt. Misty Cedrun to name a few.
