The Rotary Club of Rancho Santa Fe (RSF) held a successful food drive on Saturday, June 13 at the RSF Association parking lot.
Residents and visitors generously came out in droves to donate much-needed food and cash donations with 100% of the collected items going to Ocean Knoll Elementary and Saint Andrew's Episcopal food pantries, both two local food bans in Encinitas.

Cash donations were used to purchase grocery store gift cards to supplement food pantry non-perishables with fresh product and diary items.  Food insecurity among children is especially high now as many schools do not provide meals during the summer break.  Food pantries help bridge this gap and the supply needs of food pantries are also high due to COVID-19.

The next RSF Rotary Community event will be a blood drive for the San Diego Blood Bank this week on Thursday, July 16 at the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club.
