On Wednesday, September 9, the Rancho Santa Fe (RSF) Rotary Club picked up 300 meals from Culinary Wizard Catering in Rancho Santa Fe and headed down to the the USO San Diego Liberty Station.
USO stands for United Services Organizations Inc. and is the nation's leading charitable organization in serving active-duty service members and military families.
Due to CPVID-19 restrictions, the RSF annual Rotary USO dinner this year was a drive-thru food distribution instead of a sit-down meal. Over 300 meals were proudly served to military armed forces and their families.
Notes of thanks and many cheers were provided along with their dinners as the military drove through the distribution line in their cars.
Idabelle Guitierrez of Liberty Station USO said that bi-monthly drive-thru meals have been provided since COVID began. She thanked the RSF Rotary Club for participating in the drive-thru dinner program. The RSF Rotary wants to thank the military for its service.
