The Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club among many other organizations identified the Christian-based East County Transitional Center (ECTC) as one of its key non-profits it likes to support. The Center provides transitional living and programs and services that restores the lives of those who are homeless. Well-trained case managers, knowledgeable about specialized assistance for this type of homelessness, The Center see themselves as a community, not a shelter and provides a "way-out" of an untenable situation for this large segment of the homeless
One of the ways the Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club helps ECTC is engaging in a very simple project supporting a very basis human need - toilet paper! Club members each contribute packages of toilet for East County Transitional Living Center because “Rotarians Give a Sheet.” This drive concludes at the Club's installation dinner. It's a fun project and everyone looks forward to participating. To learn more about ECTC, go to https://www.ectlc.org/.
