When they say a picture says a thousand words, they weren't kidding. The Rotary Club of Ramona recently distributed dictionaries to 3rd graders at three elementary schools - all of it caught on camera! Of special note, Superintendent Thurman was in attendance for all distributions, which is quite impressive.
Rotarian Eva Trieger was so excited about handing out dictionaries this morning to third graders in Mrs. Brisendine's and Mrs. Ramirez's classes at Mt. Woodson Elementary School! Superintendent Dr. Brian Thurman was there, too.
At James Dukes Elementary School, Rotarian Traci Jones visited Mrs. Stewart's 3rd grade class along with Superintendent Thurman. Special needs student Daisy received her dictionary on her Chameleon, a portable braille display with local apps, like an editor and library.
Here's Mrs. Gibbs' 3rd grade class at James Dukes Elementary School with Rotary President Carol Fowler and Superintendent Thurman.
Rotarian Lee Castillo was at Barnett Elementary School to hand out dictionaries and tell the kids about the Rotary Club. Also present were Superintendent Thurman, Principal Meris, and teachers Mrs. Wrenn, Mrs. Youngdale, and Mrs. Rosenbusch. Another great Rotary day.
