The Scripps/Poway Rotary team recently received a thank you letter from Grondin Community Bridge expressing their gratitude for the work the club did to improve their pantry.  Their remarks showcase the impact Rotary makes in improving and responding to community needs.  The letter reads as follows:

"Dear Kristin, Karen, and the entire Scripps/Poway Rotary Team,

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the extraordinary work you completed in transforming the permanent pantry at Chollas Mead Elementary School. Your team demonstrated exceptional dedication, efficiency, and care, completing the project in record time. Please know that your efforts have made a profound and lasting difference for the students and families we serve.

I have attached a few photos for now. We will be using the remaining images on a YouTube channel that highlights your generosity and hard work (link to follow). We want the City of San Diego to clearly see the impact that community partners such as the Rotary Club are making for students in need. We will also be sharing your kindness with local newsletters in both Scripps Ranch and Poway so the broader community can celebrate your contribution.

As for what comes next, your service day may be complete, but the project continues to grow. On April 8, a muralist will begin creating a beautiful market‑themed scene in the corner of the pantry. On April 15, we will undergo our inspection with the San Diego Food Bank. Once the inspection is complete, we will begin stocking the pantry.

At that point, we will host a Grand Opening Celebration and invite all of you back to the school to see the completed space and the impact of your work. I will keep you updated as we move forward.

Once again, thank you. We are honored to welcome you into our Circle of Impact. As an organization that consistently goes above and beyond for others, you have demonstrated exactly what Rotary represents."
Thank you,

Caroline Grondin
