The San Diego Coastal Rotary Club built a beautiful Free Little Library in southeast San Diego for Rotary's Literacy and Education Month.

They had the help of a Syrian refugee family that they have been mentoring for the past five years. The kids helped Rotarians sand, paint, decorate and even dig the hole for the post. Rotarians proudly placed  Rotary symbols but also adorned the library box with with inspirational messages.

Then to make the most of a good thing, they made the library post a 'peace pole' and put "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in English, Spanish and Arabic. Neighborhood kids have already borrow some books and added some books. So far it's a great success.
