District 5340 is putting together a co-ed softball team in preparation for an upcoming binational game with members of District 4100 (Baja California).
Currently the District has six people interested and is looking for four additional players. The exact date and time of the game is TBD, but we’ll be playing down in Tijuana sometime in the fall. If you’re interested in joining, let Derren Lechuga, Youth Services Director - San Diego Coastal Rotary Club know, and he will begin coordinating with everyone on days/times/locations to hold practice sessions. This sporting event is to help build relations between Districts 5340 and 4100. Eventually, we are looking to create a Rotaract division for this binational game and are looking to tie it to the end-of-the-year District Conferences.
