The Escondido East Rotary Club has been busy working on two projects. Rotarians delivered turkey meals cooked by the Mikkis Restaurant to around 207 home-bound seniors during this Thanksgiving season. Sea Coast Commerce Bank donated $1000 to help pay for the meals. A big thank you to Rotarians Darol and Linda Caster for getting it all organized. One senior responded with joy when she shared she was so happy to get a dinner from Rotary since her dad was a past president in a Rotary Club back in Iowa.
Rotarians from Escondido East Rotary Club also painted a playhouse that was given to a deserving family at Escondido Community Child Development Center. Rotarian and President/CEO of Habitat for Humanity, Lori Pfeiler secured this project for the club.
