The EPIC Day of Service is a grassroots initiative, organized by Rotarians from participating clubs and districts.
It is not led by any single club or district but is a collective effort of volunteers. This is initiative is supported by the EPIC Day of Service Foundation, Inc. a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, proudly led by Rotarians.
Rotarians at Work Day, founded by District 5340, will eventually be sunset in favor of EPIC Day of Service. EPIC Day of Service provides a portal for clubs, districts and community members to connect in and join in on volunteer projects that supports their particular community needs. It's a great way to encourage your communities to get involved in service projects and a meaningful way to attract new members.
The EPIC Day of Service has something for everyone! Whether you're passionate about helping the environment, supporting local families, or improving community spaces, there's a project for you.
HOW IT WORKS
Energize
Clubs choose a project that meets their community's needs, partner with another clubs, and invite family, friends, and the public to join in! It's a great way to energize members, reconnecting them with the joy and purpose of Service Above Self.
Build
The EPIC Day's website makes it easy for the public to sign up. Plus, it's a great opportunity to re-engage and retain underactive members by asking for "all hands on deck."
Fund
Its like a charity walk for service. When Rotarians sign up, they get a personal fundraising page and an email to share with friends and family. One club raised $100,000 this way- optional, but super easy!
