Rotary District 5340 and the San Diego Women’s Foundation (SDWF) are joining forces to support community-based organizations that are providing support services to Afghan Refugees in San Diego County.  These organizations are providing very important services and goods to the thousands of incoming families in San Diego County that require assistance with emergency food, housing, clothing, legal services, transportation, health care and so much more.

This first-of-a-kind community collaboration for our Rotary District will include financial support from both organizations and volunteer opportunities for all members.  To date, we have assembled $30,000 in support for this important cause, and we expect this to grow significantly.  We have an anonymous donor that has agreed to match $10,000 in additional donations.

We would love to have your club and/or individual members join this effort.  Here is how you can donate:

  1. Send a check made out to “Rotary District 5340” with “Afghan refugee fund” in the memo line to: Rotary International District 5340, 5052 Clairemont Drive #178 651, San Diego, CA 92177
