The Rotary Club of Poway-Scripps is pleased to announce that the Palomar Health Presents the 2022 Poway Rotary Parade is scheduled for September. 10, 2022. This year’s theme is, “We Are Family”.
The club is delighted to again be working with Palomar Health as the parade’s title sponsor. The grand marshal is former San Diego Charger Cory Withrow. Withrow played with the team 2006-2008. He is the owner of King’s Craft Coffee Co., in Poway.
In addition to parade favorites and regular entrants such as classic cars and horses, this year’s event will include a pet parade. In the first ever inclusion, Rotarians are eager to invite family and friends to participate in the parade with their lovable furry friends! There will be a contest for most unique pet, best dressed pet, and best float with a pet in it
Rotarians have begun the task of fundraising and have identified sponsorship and donor opportunities to help underwrite the costs of the parade. Committing to being a sponsor or donor has the added benefit of showcasing support of this old-fashioned community event.
Costs associated with the parade include permits, sanitation, reimbursing high school bands for their transportation costs, printing, trophies, coordination fees, P.A. system, and advertising. Additional parade details along with sponsorship packages can be viewed at https://powayrotaryparade.org. The parade start time is scheduled for 9 a.m. and more than 100 entrants are expected.
