Thanks to the generosity of Rotarians and friends, the Surfers Unite Rotarian Fellowship raised over $1k recently for breast cancer research.  The 2021 crew consisted of Rotarians from throughout District 5340 including Jim Davies, Michael Slentz, Christine Muhart, Brett Morey, Jenny Parker, Vince Ponce and Krista Davies from Pacific Beach Rotaract.  They also had Lake Arrowhead Rotarians Bob & Diane Gladwell as well as friends in the surfing community from Orange County for a fun morning of stand-up paddle boarding raising funds and awareness for StandUp for the Cure benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation and other breast cancer research groups.  Those wishing to participate can still contribute to honor a loved one or friend by clicking here.
Don't miss out on the next opportunity to serve as Surfers Unite Founder and Past President of the Rotary Club of La Jolla Golden Triangle Brett Morey has a couple Life Rolls On events on the calendar.  Life Rolls On Foundation assists adaptive surfers (disabled children & adults) and the La Jolla Shores event will take place Oct. 16.  Volunteer opportunities also exist thanks to Surfers Unite as the Super-Girl Pro in Oceanside features the top women surfers in the world Sept. 17-19.  Sign up to volunteer for any of these unique, fun and relevant events to grow your club as we bring the family of Rotary together.
