Want to attend our District Council, but you really don't know what it is.  Here is a glimpse of why District Councils were formed and how they have evolved to meet our growing needs.

District Council began as a meeting of the club presidents.  They met periodically to share information and socialize with their peers.  Soon the president-elects wanted to be involved.  Recognizing that Rotary is inclusive, the Council elected to open its meetings to all Rotarians and Rotaractors    Topics of interest were determined and promoted as a way to bring information to Rotarian's District-wide and to encourage the opportunity for Rotarians to socialize and exchange ideas with other clubs.

For the Rotary year 2018-19, we will be holding our first District Council on August 21, 2018.   It would be fabulous if all clubs were represented as all our clubs have ideas to share.  District Council also satisfies a Red Badge requirement for most clubs.  This is a perfect District event for new members.  They can feel the strength and passion of Rotarians at a gathering such as the District Council.  They may even meet friends they didn't even know were Rotarians.

So come, one an all; wear your pins and network among friends,  Register today!
