Thinking out-of-the-box and away from traditional meeting norms of morning or noon Rotary clubs, the San Diego Coastal Rotary Club wanted to be unique in its approach in attracting young, middle-aged professionals to their club. They looked at the best design/time frame for those professionals who have to work standard, full-time hours and who needed flexibility in order to be able to participate in Rotary. They also wanted to attract Rotarians who desired alternative meeting times in finding a make-up club to attend.
The result of this effort yielded a group of fun-loving and hard-working Rotarians on a mission to make the world a better place! They have weekly dinner meetings on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., allowing those with a full-time job to still join a Rotary club.
