Over 70 members and guests of La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club, including Rotaract students from UCSD, recently completed a project assisting the US Marines at Camp Pendleton. Over two Saturdays, the group was joined by marines to renovate their "Desk Sergeant's Building" (the Base Police Department). They rebuilt counters and glass barriers, installed new interior doors, restroom wall surfaces, new laminate flooring and provided new LED lighting. About 15 thousand square feet of walls and doors were painted by the volunteers and marines.
This was the seventh successful project that the club has accomplished in the Camp since 2008, demonstrating the respect that the members have for their Marine heroes.
