Rancho Santa Marta in Baja California, Mexico was the beneficiary of a joint project between the Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Ensenada. A new Rotary Computer Center, financed with a $35,000 global grant was officially dedicated on April 20. Rancho Santa Marta is a non-denominational Evangelical Christian Ministry providing a school and home for at risk and special need Mexican children, youth and adults with disabilities that provides a safe and loving environment allowing them to develop physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually and educationally. The school and home lies on a large 450-acre working ranch property near San Vicente, a town 130 miles south of San Diego on the Baja California peninsula. The Santee-Lakeside Rotary Club has a long-standing supportive relationship with Rancho Santa Marta. This is the first joint effort with the Rotary Club of Ensenada, which has sparked an endearing partnership between the two clubs.
