Join us as we celebrate the 15th year of the International Youth Symphony!

Every year since 2004, top young musicians from around the world have traveled to San Diego with assistance and support from San Diego Rotary District 5340's International Youth Exchange (IYS) Program, to participate in three weeks of music, friendship and fun.

The Rotary clubs that help support this MusiCamp are San Diego Downtown Breakfast, Club 33, Old Mission, Rancho Bernardo, Escondido and Surfers Unite Rotarian Fellowship.  Their donations of dollars, host families and volunteer time have made this program successful for the past 15 years.  We thank you!

This summer we welcome 24 accomplished international youth musicians, hailing from nine countries to practice, play and perform alongside talented students from the San Diego Youth Symphony Ovation Program, based in Balboa Park.

Rehearsals are July 15-19, July 22-24, and July 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hall of Nations in the  House of Pacific Relations, across from the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park.  On Tuesday, July 23 at 6:30 p.m., the IYS will perform at the free Twilight in the Park Concert.  Viewing of the rehearsals is free and open to the public in Balboa Park, and we encourage you to stop by and witness music in the making!

In the past 15 years, 273 IYS students from 31 countries have participated in MusiCamp.  It provides peace among nations through music.  It is the only Rotary program focused on music in the world.  And, San Diego Rotary District 5340 provides it!
