Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary Club President, Trish Rogers invited all club members to perform "100 Acts of Kindness" during the 2016-2017 Rotary year.  The club was eager to take this challenge on.  Every meeting club members would share their kind acts, which were recorded by the club secretary.

This past Thursday was club president, Trish's last meeting.  The club presented her with a scroll documenting all of the club's acts.  The club did both large and small acts of kindness, including packaging 18,000 meals for children, purchasing school uniforms, collecting toiletries for a battered women's shelter, delivering books for newborn babies, rescuing a boa snake and finding it a new home, making food baskets at Thanksgiving, adopting a family at Christmas, reading Rotary Foundation's "Doing good in the World" book at every meeting, celebrating members' s birthdays with crazy hats and Towers of Love candies, driving a Lyft passenger to the emergency room and staying with him, moving trash cans while walking, sharing packaging tape at the post office, driving a neighbor's pet to the vet, and many more.

This is a great example of how the Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary Club lives Rotary in their everyday lives.  Kudos to President Trish for a job well done.
