District Leadership Seminar and Pre-PETS Registration

Saturday, January 30, 2010

Vista Entertainment Center
435 W. Vista Way, Vista
8:30 am. to 1:30 pm.

Saturday, January 30th is a very important day if you are in any one of the groups listed below:

  • Assistant Governor for 2009-2010 and 2010-2011
  • Club Presidents
  • Club Presidents-Elect
  • Foundation Mentors
  • District Resource Chair or Vice Chairs

For Presidents-Elect TWO events will happen that you will not want to miss! The first event is PrePETS which is designed to get you ready to take full advantage of your PETS training in February. You'll get a preview of Rotary International President Elect Ray Klinginsmith's plan for 2010-2011 and get a glimpse of how our district and your club can support his vision. You'll meet several district leaders who are preparing to support you and your club. Your assistant governors will also be contributing to this information-filled session.

The second event is unique for this year and very exciting. PDG Pam Russell, our District Rotary Foundation Chair, will be presenting the rollout of TRF's Future Vision Pilot plan as it applies to our district. We have the honor to be among the 100 districts in the world who are FV pilots. Your current Club President will be joining us for this session. You will hear how your club can participate in a new range of matching grants - both internationally and locally. You will learn exactly what your club needs to do to get ready.

Club Presidents, will meet separately with DG Marge and share best practices in the following areas:

  • Membership
  • Fundraising
  • Communication & PR (websites, newsletters, news articles, etc.).

Everyone will meet together at 10:30 with PDG Pam Russell to hear about the Future Vision Pilot and how it will work for our District. Following the Future Vision presentation, we will have lunch together. Having this meeting together will allow Presidents and Presidents-Elect to carpool if it is convenient.

Coffee and Beverages will be available at 8.30am.
The program starts at 9am and will complete by 1:30pm.
