Rotary has officially unveiled the brand new Rotary Club Central. Hosted within Rotary.org, Rotary Club Central provides centralized goal tracking and management for both clubs and districts. The new Rotary Club Central represents a significant upgrade since the portal debuted five years ago, featuring a new updated navigation, faster loading speeds, and compatibility with mobile devices.

When Rotary.org first introduced Rotary Club Central in 2012, it represented a new way for clubs and their districts to track goals and plan for the years ahead. Gone were the days of filling out and submitting paper forms or storing boxes of paperwork every time a new leader took over.

What was revolutionary was that Rotary Club Central provided clubs and districts an easier way to begin measuring their impact on the community in areas such as membership, community service and projects, as well as giving to The Rotary Foundation (TRF).

Fast forward a few years, and the way Rotarians used the Internet itself changed. Internet users came to expect fast, responsive websites that were accessible on-the-go through a variety of computers, tables, and cell phones. For Rotary Club Central, speed issues became a concern, and Rotary Club Central suffered from a lack of compatibility with mobile devices.

It was time for an overhaul.

The team responsible for the redesign started from the ground-up with a fresh, modern interface that reflects current standards in web technology. Users of Rotary Club Central will find that their web pages load much faster. Visitors to Rotary Club Central will also find a new intuitive navigation, as well as easier-to-read charts and graphs that help tell the story of both current and archived club data.

Rotary Club Central's overhaul also helps members view trends, map goals, and chart progress towards meeting those goals. It helps club leaders plan and evaluate metrics that matter to their individual clubs, including membership activities and progress towards Rotary citations and awards. The new Rotary Club Central also does away with the forced conversion of goals into US dollars, and allows club leaders to measure their impact and goals in local currency.

"The new Rotary Club Central will make life much, much easier for leaders within the club to plan for the future," said District Governor Scott Carr. "In an organization that changes its leadership each and every year, Rotary Club Central provides important continuity, fostering access to a wide array of club information. Current and future leaders end up working off of the same data, improving communication and ensuring trust among leadership and club members."

The Rotary Club Central upgrade was automatic. All data already in the platform prior to the upgrade was swept into the new system. The new Rotary Club Central is available today by clicking here.
