The District has announced a special pricing schedule for those clubs who aren't yet using ClubRunner (or another web software that has the capability to have data integration with Rotary International.)  The special pricing makes this an attractive time to adopt ClubRunner as your club management system.  Note that I used the term club management system and not website.  That is because ClubRunner has been designed and maintained as a total club and district management system that also includes a website capability.

As of January 2015, the Semiannual Report will have to be submitted electronically.  If your club is using ClubRunner, submission of the SAR is a simple process because updates to your club's roster on the RI database is automatic when you make changes to your ClubRunner membership roster.

I am the Executive Secretary of RB Sunrise Rotary Club.  We have been using ClubRunner since July 2008.  When ClubRunner announced data integration in November 2010, our club connected.  Since then, it has been an easy process to submit the SAR.  Now all that is required is to report the number of members on the email form accessed on the RI website.  Then you can pay the club dues via credit card.  (I pay the club dues and our treasurer reimburses me for that expense.  Our July 2014 SAR was submitted on July 3 !

Another benefit of ClubRunner is attendance tracking.  At each meeting you can check off those members in attendance.  After you add the information for those who have made up a meeting, one mouse click sends the report to the district and closes the month.  DIstrict 5340 will be adopting ClubRunner 3.0 by the end of the year.  ClubRunner 3.0 is being upgraded to include an enhanced attendance module (at no additonal cost).  The upgraded attendance module now includes the capabiity to record visitors.

Another enhancement in ClubRunner 3.0 is a volunteers module.  Keeping track of volunteers for club projects has been an long standing problem for any chair of a project.  The volunteer module will help the project chair manage volunteers more easily.

It has been the experience of RB Sunrise that the email capability of ClubRunner makes communication within the club really easy.  We also recommend that those members with smartphone put the ClubRunner app on their phone.  That app accesses the club website and the club membership roster so that you always have the updated club contact information available to you.  This is especially useful when you are arranging car pooling to a meeting and you need to contact someone who is running late.

The event management system makes promotion and management of events easy.  The chair of the event can get email updates for reservations and the event can be listed on the district calendar with just  a mouse click.

Because all of the data for ClubRunner is automatically backed up and stored on the "cloud", you never have to worry about losing data if a computer crashes.  Because ClubRunner is web based, there is also nothing that has to be installed on your computer.  Your web brower (Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome) are sufficient.  (Internate Explorer can be used also.)

These are just a few of the reasons RB Sunrise Rotary club finds using ClubRunner to be essential to our club. ClubRunner has been upgraded at no additional cost numerous times in the past and ClubRunner is very responsive to suggestions from users.
