l - r: Pauline Getz and Ray Chavez

The Rotary Club of Poway-Scripps is not only gearing up for the Poway Days Parade it hosts in September, but it is also seeking donations for a project called Pearl Flight. The club and Personally Fit are raising money to send the oldest living survivor, Ray Chavez, and other survivors of the attack of Pearl Harbor to this year's 75th commemoration ceremonies in Hawaii. Chavez, 104 years old, is a Poway resident who began working out and training at Personally Fit shortly after turning 100!

We invite Rotarians to help us send Ray and other survivors by donating to the GoFundMe account at www.gofundme.com/2cn7nddm  and to enjoy the coverage and comments by our President Pauline on Channel 8 at http://www.cbs8.com/story/32451608/pearl-flight-helping-pearl-harbor-survivors-travel-to-hawaii-for-anniversary.
