District 5340 may have "missing" Rotarians.  In attempting to credit a member of a club submitting information for a NewsBits item, I discovered that the Rotarian, although listed on the Rotary International database, was not listed on the district membership directory. Does your club have members that are missing from the district member directory?

If your club is not using a web based club management solution (ClubRunner, Club Wizard, etc.) and you have not specifically set up data integration on the RI club information page for your club, the district cannot get updates to your club's membership data.  Club secretaries have to manually add, delete or edit information about members on each of three member databease - the club, the district, and Rotary Internatiional.  A benefit of having a web based club management system that integrates with Rotary International is that changes only have to be enter on the club database when data integration is turned on for the club and Rotary International databases.  (The district is included only after the club and RI permissions are set up by the club)

Since the Semi Annual Report and District Dues invoices are to completed in January, now is the time for secretaries of all clubs to verify that the membership data for all members in the club is accurate and up to date.
