The annual International Youth Symphony is a partnership between the San Diego Youth Synphonya anc Consservatory and Rotary District 5340.  International Youth Exchange that brings musicians from across the globe together with SDYS' most advanced musicians for a two-week intensive music experience. This year's MusicCamp is bringing a total of 24 international musicians from 11 countries to participate in this program  This is the largest international participation in the 12 year history of MusiCamp San Diego and the International Youth Symphony.  Friends of MusiCamp is presenting a package that includes a ticket to the Escondido concert and also a concert at a private home. Rotary Distrct 5340 and the San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory will celebrate the 12th annual International Youth Symphony this year. The international musicians join eighteen SDYS students to create a unique orchestra, comprised of exceptionally talented student musicians led by SDYS Music Director Jeff Edmons for two weeks of rehearsals and a variety of recitals and concerts in the community.

The 2016 International Youth Symphony performances will include an outdoor concert as part of the Twilight in the Park in Spreckels Organ Pavilion, a Classical Concert at the Center Theater at California Center for the Arts in Escondido and a opening performing of La Jolla Music Society's SummerFest in Ellen Scripps Park, La Jolla.  The Classical Concert at the Center Theater in Escondido at the California Center for the Arts Center Theater will be dedicate to the late Bill Sturgeon, a past district governor of Rotary District 5340 and the founder of MusiCamp and the International Youth Symphony
