In December of 2013, Rotarian Terry Caster and his wife Barbara made two significant gifts to programs of the Rotary Foundation. Their gift of $1,100,000 to the polio eradication program is likely the largest single gift provided by a Rotarian in the history of Rotary’s effort to eradicate polio.

As these funds are spent, the Gates Foundation will provide a two for one match multiplying the impact of this gift to a $3,300,000 contribution to eradicate polio. But the Casters’ generosity went beyond this gift to eradicate polio. They also contributed $750,000 to the Endowment Fund for the Rotary Peace Centers program. This gift will fully endow a Peace Scholar every other year studying at the Master’s level year.  Thank you Terry and Barbara!
