The Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of Tijuana Campus received today a Chevy Express van for up to 15 people as a donation by the Rotary Club of Old Mission San Diego. 
 
The Vice Chancellor of UABC Campus Tijuana, Dr. Maria Eugenia Perez Morales, received the keys to the van at the hands of Robert James, International Foundation Chairman.Also present was Stan Vogelsang, the Old Mission Rotary Club Executive and Dr. Dave Irwin, President of the Thousand Smiles Foundation.
 
Stan and Bob lead the ViIDAI team in San Quentin several times each year.  Dave Irwin a 15 year Rotarian dentist leads the teams for the four  yearly clinics in Ensenada.  Both organizations are major contributors to helping others!  The purpose of the van is to support "UABC's" medical School staff and students with community outreach projects as well as the VIIDAI visits to San Quentin.
 
The Thousand Smiles Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation that provides free cleft lip and palate surgeries and dental care for underprivileged children in Latin America.  Currently, the Thousand Smiles Foundation Surgical/Dental Clinics are held in Ensenada, Mexico four times each year.  For more details, see the rest of the story at: Old Mission Rotary
